We wanted to profile the work we did for this residence in St. Albert.
When we were asked to come up with a design, we were really not given any restrictions. They have two young boys, so there needed to be an area for them to play in. We designed a unique sandbox with large boulders, and fine sand. Behind it we leveled an area for a playground that you can access with two sets of steps.
Then, we separated the kids area from the family patio with a beautiful water feature. A waterfall and stream, with a stone bridge, create a natural border and backdrop as you enjoy the patio. We subcontracted this feature to our good friend Wayne and his crew from Patio Magic. They did a great job!
The patio has a combination of 3 sizes of pavers, a natural gas fire bowl, and a pergola. It is raised with a curved, patterned allan block retaining wall, and can be accessed with some concrete steps.
We installed a number of shrubs and trees, a sprinkler system, electrical lines, boulders, raised vegetable gardens, a custom address sign, and a sidewalk.
We are very proud of this project, and working with the Skubas was an absolute pleasure.
